The primary database is in the EU. Some necessary providers can process data outside the EU. We explain where this happens and which safeguards apply for each provider.

Your travel data stays yours.
A travel profile is about what you eat, how you sleep and who you share a room with. That is personal. So we built Jappoe around privacy from the very first line of code, not after it.
Four things you can count on
Sensitive preferences only with consent
Diet, allergies, medical notes and alcohol preferences are special category personal data. Jappoe asks explicit consent for them, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.
No trackers, no reselling
No ad networks, no third-party tracking software unless you choose it yourself. We do not sell your data and we do not share it, except with the services Jappoe needs to function.
You can see and delete it all
Export your full profile and travel history whenever you like. After deletion, we remove your account data within thirty days. Trip data is anonymised where needed, and legal records are kept only as long as required.
